A multi-purpose facility for all generations.

The Cannon River Civic Center will be a 78,000-square-foot multi-purpose, year-round community gathering space capable of hosting numerous activities and events. We imagine a space that will serve:

  • Baseball and softball players

  • Event planners and conference hosts

  • Hockey players, figure skaters and recreational skaters

  • Artists

  • Walkers and rollers of all ages

  • Tennis, table tennis and pickle ball players

  • Recreational cyclists

  • Lacrosse players

  • And so many more

The donated land on which the Cannon River Civic Center will be located is on the south end of Northfield, near the intersection of Cannon Road and Agate Drive, and offers visitors convenient access to Northfield and Dundas. It is also uniquely positioned to serve as a trail head for the Mill Towns Trail along the Cannon Valley Trail portion of the route, complete with parking, restrooms and camping amenities for riders.
